Dear Suren, thank you very much for the respond. Agree with your approach that a medical plan from a general insurance company is more cost effective. Do you have any recommendation on which general insurance company should be considered?

1) are they malaysian citizens, PR or foreign national
if they are msian citizens or PR , its better to get them a medical plan from a general insurance coz its more cost effective . the main reason being they are only 6 months in the country. its more flexible as if they do not wish to return to msia anymore, u just let it run down for year.
if they are foreign national, just get them travel health insurance.

My parents to dont have any of the critical illnesses so they are eligibal for the normal medical insurance policy , however they only stay in Malaysia for 6 months do you find it worth it buying a medical insurance for them ?
