GetCover is closing down. You have not heard of GetCover? GetCover was one of the first companies that offered car insurance via a mobile app.
It was a collaboration with StandardFA (Standard Financial Advisor) a Malaysian financial advisor company. You can read the detailed news here “GetCover service will be discontinued as of 28th February 2019”.
The model of GetCover was simple. Offer a mobile app to Malaysians and allow them to renew their insurance through the app. GetCover acted as an agent and received the 10% commission from the customer.
This is a big disadvantage and one of the reasons why GetCover did not become successful. The customer did all the work to renew the insurance, but did not get the online savings.
Our service is different, we are not an insurance/takaful agent. We provide customers with direct links to the insurance companies and customers can renew their insurance online to get discounts or cash vouchers. But beware, if you buy your insurance/takaful online you do not get help from an insurance agent. You are on your own, when you make a claim. We provide you with lots of information on how to do it, but if you rather like to have someone to help you, then you should get an insurance agent.
